Tell the unique story behind the Starbucks Reserve small-lot coffee from the Abakundakawa co-op in Rwanda.

In the wake of the Rwandan civil war, thousands of widows found themselves the sole providers to their families. For the women of the Abakundakawa coffee co-op they oversaw the complete operation of their farms, from production to selling. A textural and layered design showcases the power of this touching story. An abstract land elevation map of the country is paired with traditional textile patterns and colors from the region. Finally, a fingerprint is placed on top to highlight the individuals that are leaving their mark on the land and the people that surrounded them.
